Laboratory conversion and reconfiguration
Coordinate room layouts, partitions, doors, ceilings and finishes with workflow, equipment movement and maintenance access.
SingaporeLABORATORY / TECHNICAL FIT-OUT
Newzone supports laboratory conversion, renovation and technical-space upgrades for research and manufacturing facilities in Singapore. We coordinate the agreed room construction and building-services interfaces around the laboratory brief.
For laboratory managers, R&D teams, manufacturers and main contractors delivering a defined technical fit-out with equipment and facility services to coordinate.
Coordinate room layouts, partitions, doors, ceilings and finishes with workflow, equipment movement and maintenance access.
Establish ventilation, cooling and room-pressure requirements with the appointed design team and equipment suppliers.
Confirm connection schedules, service routes, power and other utility interfaces against the laboratory equipment list.
Coordinate site access, sequencing, applicable testing and the documented scope required for operational handover.
Laboratory activities, chemicals, biological materials, exhaust and containment needs determine specialist design requirements. These are not established by the room’s appearance.
Fume extraction, gas safety, biosafety containment, specialist furniture and regulated submissions are included only where expressly agreed and supported by the appropriate parties.
Laboratory accreditation, biosafety approval and GMP qualification are separate obligations. No BSL or sterile-processing performance is claimed by this fit-out page.
Review the laboratory process, equipment and existing space.
Agree the room layout, service schedules and specialist design responsibilities.
Sequence finishes and building-services interfaces around the agreed access and equipment programme.
Complete the contracted checks and handover information with the project team.
A first enquiry can be brief. Drawings and technical schedules can follow through an agreed transfer method.
Review the intended activities, existing building, layout, equipment, utilities and environmental requirements. The project then establishes specialist design and approvals, construction interfaces, installation sequence and the checks needed before use.
No. A laboratory is defined by its activities and risks; a cleanroom has specified contamination-control requirements. Some laboratories include cleanrooms, but pressure, exhaust, containment and other requirements must follow the actual process brief.
A phased approach can be reviewed with the operator. Isolation, exhaust or utility changes and work near sensitive equipment can require downtime and specific safety controls. The practical sequence must be agreed for the site.
Provide the intended use, area, existing and proposed layouts, equipment and service schedules, environmental criteria, known hazards, programme and site restrictions. Identify the appointed designers and any approval requirements already established.
