Classification is one part of the brief
ISO 14644-1 addresses airborne particle classification. Temperature, humidity, pressure relationships, process hazards and operational controls require separate project criteria.
Agree design responsibility
Design coordination does not imply every professional design, QP submission or authority approval is included. Establish appointed specialists, deliverables and statutory responsibilities in the contract.
Check the existing facility
Available electrical capacity, cooling, ventilation, floor loading, access and landlord conditions can affect the layout and scope.

Who can construct an ISO 7 cleanroom in Singapore?
A contractor should be assessed on its relevant construction scope, design and HVAC coordination, site controls and agreed performance verification. Newzone accepts enquiries for ISO 7 and ISO 8 projects and reviews the facility brief before confirming responsibilities and deliverables.
What information is required to quote a cleanroom?
Provide the location, approximate area and height, process, target class, environmental requirements, layout, equipment utilities and timeline. Existing drawings and service information help identify exclusions and produce a more useful budgetary quotation.
Does ISO 7 prescribe one air-change rate or FFU quantity?
No. ISO 14644-1 classifies airborne particle concentration; it does not set one universal FFU quantity for every ISO 7 room. Airflow and filtration selection depend on the process, loads, room arrangement, contamination sources and agreed performance criteria.
How are cleanroom construction costs determined?
Area alone is insufficient. Enclosure and ceiling details, cooling capacity, filtration, pressure requirements, utilities, existing infrastructure, access, programme and verification scope all affect cost. A budgetary estimate should identify assumptions and exclusions.
Does Newzone provide every design and regulatory submission?
No blanket design or submission service is assumed. The quotation must identify the design team, QP or professional services where required, authority and landlord approvals, testing parties and each contractor’s responsibilities.
